RYA Sailing Stage 2 Course

Confident sailing
Develop the skills needed to sail around a course and understand the basic principles needed to become a confident sailor.
This course will teach you improved sailing skills on all points of sail. Tacking, gybing, ropework and collision avoidance.
By the end of you course you’ll have built confidence sailing, tacking, gybing and improving boat control and speed.
Duration: 1 day
Who: Sea Scouts and Explorer Sea Scouts.
Pre-requisites
- RYA Sailing Stage 1 (unless agree with the instructor team)
- At least 4 hours of practice logged over 2 sessions since stage 1 (either at The Den or your own sailing club).

To keep it fair, please remember we can only offer 1 sailing course per year to young people.

This is to cover the RYA youth sailing logbook, certificate and safety boat fuel, and is much less than cost price. The instructors are all volunteers.
