SUMMARY:Open Sailing
DESCRIPTION:Open boating session at The Den for all Sea Scouts and Explorers. \n\n\n\nSessions for any Scout or Explorer to go on the water sailing or on our other boats. Sessions are always supervised by a suitable leader\, and no experience is necessary. There is no charge for participating in open boating\, just ensure you are down in time for the start time above. \n\n\n\nYou will need to bring suitable clothing to go afloat which you don’t mind getting wet (and you will get wet!). Footwear is required on the water – wet boots or old trainers are ideal\, flips flops and wellies are not appropriate. Buoyancy aids are mandatory for all activities on the water\, and will be supplied. SUMMARY:Beaver & Cub Sailing
DESCRIPTION:A fun Beaver and Cub sailing session\, for beavers & cubs to come and experience sailing and activities on the water with more experienced sailors at The Den. \n\n\n\nPlease bring with you: \n\n\n\n\nSwimming shorts and a rash vest / old t-shirt to wear on the water\, or a wetsuit if you own one (we have a collection at The Den if you don’t have your own).\n\n\n\nOld trainers / plimsolls / boat shoes for your feet\, plus a dry pair for when you come off the water (you must have footwear to go afloat\, no wellies or flip-flops)\n\n\n\nTowel and change of clothes\n\n\n\nA hat and sun cream – please put sun cream on before you arrive\n\n\n\nJumper for when they come ashore\, just in case it’s chilly\n\n\n\n\nWe will provide buoyancy aids at The Den \n\n\n\nPlease bring a packed lunch and a drink as food will not be provided. Sun cream needs to be applied before arrival. \n\n\n\nThere’s no charge for the session\, but please sign up if you want your child to attend so we know numbers and can plan adult numbers. Numbers are limited to 30\, so if plans change please update and cancel using the same link so others have the opportunity.
