SUMMARY:Poppy Appeal Collecting
DESCRIPTION:The Sea Scouts and Explorers will be selling poppies and collecting money for the Royal British Legion on Leigh Broadway\, in the run up to Remembrance Day. \n\n\n\nWe need 4-6 Scouts or Explorers for 1-2 hr slots between 10.00 and 4.00 in uniform. If you can spare an hour or two to support this very worthwhile effort\, please sign up for one or more slots at https://signup.com/go/atCosSW. \n\n\n\nIf you’re along the Broadway during the day please stop and say hi! \n\n\n\nWhen: Sun 2 Nov – 10:00 to 16:00.Where: Leigh BroadwayWear: Full uniform\, with poppy. Dark coat if raining.Who: Sea Scouts (Renown & Solebay Troops) and Explorer Sea Scouts. \n\n\n\n\n\nCan you help? \n\n\n\nSign up by adding your name to the sign up sheet at https://signup.com/go/atCosSW with to the times you can do. You can do more than one slot\, and we need 4-6 Scouts/Explorers per period. \n\n\n\nIf you have any trouble or questions please just drop Chris D a message by email\, or WhatsApp to +44 1702 476890. \n\n\n\nThis activity counts towards the Fundraising and World Challenge badges. \n\n\n\nThe Detail \n\n\n\nIf you’re able to help\, please meet us on The Broadway at your allotted time – we’ll likely move around a little bit\, but will be between The Co-Op and St Clements Church. \n\n\n\nPlease wear full uniform\, including a poppy (above the bow on your cap tally)\, and wear a few layers under your uniform jumper to keep warm. If it looks like it may rain then bring a dark coloured coat. \n\n\n\nThis is a great opportunity to support a very worthwhile cause\, plus it’s a fun and rewarding activity\, so please do help support your Group and community if you can.
