SUMMARY:Christmas Carol Service
DESCRIPTION:We’re holding a Christmas Carol Service on Strand Wharf on Saturday at 4.00pm\, with our friends from New Road Fishermen’s Chapel. A more community-focussed event than our usual service in The Den with more space and everyone welcome\, to get you all in that festive mood. \n\n\n\nMembers\, parents\, friends\, and family are warmly encouraged to join us for festive carol singing and refreshments. Uniform is not required but please wear your 3rdCB scarf; just bring your voices and Christmas spirit! \n\n\n\nWe’ll again be collecting toys & gifts for Little Havens\, and the children in our city who need a little more hope at this time of year. We ask for donations of toys or children’s books\, these can be new\, as new\, unwanted gifts or something out-grown. Unwrapped please to help the Little Havens team give them out appropriately. These can either be brought on the day\, or to your normal section meeting during the week. \n\n\n\n⏰ When: 4.00pm on Sat 6 Dec📍 Where: Strand Wharf\, Old Leigh👕 Wear: Not uniform and wrap up warm as it’s outside. Please wear your Scout Scarf to show off 3rdCB are there in force.🧸 Bring: If you can\, a toy\, for donation to less fortunate children in our city. \n\n\n\nWe look forward to celebrating the season with you.

DESCRIPTION:Our annual chance to celebrate the achievements of our youth members over the past year at the Group’s Presentation Evening. \n\n\n\nThis year’s event will be back at Leigh Road Baptist Church\, the doors are open from 1830 for a 1900 start.  All members of the Group and their parents/family are invited to attend (full uniform for members please). \n\n\n\nDuring the evening awards will be presented to the Beavers\, Cubs\, Scouts and Explorers for their achievements throughout the year.  \n\n\n\nAfter the presentations there will be a selection of refreshments available\, and the opportunity to chat with the leader team & other parents about our adventures over the past year\, and plans for 2026.

SUMMARY:Group AGM
DESCRIPTION:The AGM is a legal requirement of our charitable status\, allowing members of the Group Council (that’s all parents\, adult members\, Sea Scout Patrol Leaders\, Explorer Scouts and Guzzlers) to receive a formal reports on our activities and accounts for the past year\, scrutinise the management team\, and approve nominations to the Group’s Trustee Board\, who oversee the Group’s governance and finances. DESCRIPTION:One of the hottest social events of the summer: the 3rdCB Band Night is back again\, ready to kick off the summer. \n\n\n\nWatch the sun go down with friends and family\, and dance the night away to some great entertainment\, including the awesome All Roads live on stage. \n\n\n\nWe’ll have the cool V-Dub Tavern to keep you hydrated with their selection of awesome cocktails\, Piperoni Pizza cooking up fresh pizzas\, or feel free to bring your own drinks & nibbles. \n\n\n\nAll proceeds go towards supporting Scouting and activities for young people at 3rd Chalkwell Bay. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nChildren and young people are welcome and encouraged to attend\, but under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Adults are very welcome to bring their own drinks and snacks\, but please remember that under 18s are not permitted to consume alcohol on Scout premises. The Den is a no smoking site.

SUMMARY:Zen with Ben Soundbath
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an evening of relaxation in by the sea Old Leigh. Zen with Ben is providing the chill out vibes with a Soundbath evening at The Den\, helping us fundraise to support 3rdCB’s Scouting activities. \n\n\n\nA Soundbath is a relaxing experience where crystal singing bowls and instruments create resonant tones that help calm the nervous system. Simply lie down and allow the sound vibrations to guide you into a relaxed state. \n\n\n\nThe jetty will be open for anyone wanting to enjoy the sea breeze or swim at high water from 6pm (All swimming at your own risk: no lifeguard on duty). \n\n\n\nYou may wish to bring a pillow and blanket\, and wear comfortable clothes for the sound bath. Air mattresses will be provided. \n\n\n\nOver 18s only please. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease note that Soundbaths are not suitable for individuals with pacemakers\, epilepsy\, non-titanium metal implants or those in the third trimester of pregnancy. If you are unsure whether a Soundbath is suitable for you\, please consult a medical professional before attending.
