RYA Sailing Stage 1 Course

Start sailing
An introduction to the parts of the boat and the basic principles of how to get a boat sailing.
This course will teach you launching and recovery, sailing across the wind, turning around, steering and basic parts of the boat.
By the end of you course you’ll be able to sail across the wind, steer and understand the basic principles of sailing.
Duration: 1 day
Who: Sea Scouts and Explorer Sea Scouts.

This is to cover the RYA youth sailing logbook, certificate and safety boat fuel, and is much less than cost price. The instructors are all volunteers.
