Fright Night

The Fundraising Team and Middle Aged Spread (MAS) have been working hard to bring you, your family and friends their ‘adult only’ Halloween Fright Night on Saturday 2 November 2019.

Fright Night is hosted by the people behind Leigh’s very own disco phenomenon Middle Age Spread (MAS). Daryl Easlea, aka The Rev is an author, broadcaster and music consultant with an unrivalled musical knowledge and unequalled musical taste. In 2010, he gathered together 3 other like-minded musical masters and formed Middle Age Spread, grown up disco for those unafraid to dance. The night now sells out every two months at its new home of Chalkwell Hall and the four DJs, each with their own unique style, play gigs right across Essex and London.

MAS is managed by Mrs Easlea, who provides a steady hand on the tiller when the boys get a little boisterous. No stranger to the decks herself, Mrs E runs the annual and highly successful Lady Marmalade nights at Strictly Smartz, raising funds for Southend Hospital’s breast cancer unit.

We are incredibly lucky to have both Daryl and Jules spinning the tunes for us at our first ever Fright Night. Their MAS event the night before is already sold out so they will be fully prepped and ready to take you on a musical frightmare like no other.

Tickets at £10 each can be purchased online at :, or at Fives Records, Leigh Broadway.

We look forward to see you there! Fancy dress preferable, byo drinks, glasses and nibbles. A professional face painter will be there to help you scare for a small donation!
