Scout Teams Run for HARP 24

3rdCB HARP24 Team

3rdCB entered two teams into this year’s HARP 24 hour race this weekend, raising money for the Group and HARP, Southend Homeless charity.

Over 24 hours the whole Scouting family, made up of leaders, parents, Scouts and their families, ran 370 miles (that’s 595km)!

The team have put in an amazing effort and raised over £3,440, smashing last years total – thank you so much to everyone that supported them and donated.

Runner Sophie Rogers made a short video of highlights from the 3rdCB teams’ day at this year’s HARP24:

The ladies 3rdCB Cava team won first place for the Women’s 3-5 category for most laps – 25 laps, or 107 miles! Our second team 3rdCB Competitors came third in the category for Mixed 3-5 team with 32 laps, or 137 miles. Cub Leader Martin ran solo for the whole 24 hours, and won first place in the solo male category, and Scout Finlay won second place in the children’s race. An amazing set of results from the team.
