Leigh Fire Brigade visit Renown Scouts

Renown Troop had a visit from the watch at Leigh Fire & Rescue recently, who showed the Scouts the equipment they carry and what they can do. They set the fire engine and equipment up on Bell Wharf and the beach in Old Leigh, taking water from Leigh Creek, and allowed the Scouts to have a go on both ends of the hoses.

The visit followed on from the Scouts’ trip to Leigh Fire Station earlier in the year to learn about fire safety and prevention as part of their Fire Safety badge. This was the second time the watch had visited us in Old Leigh, they were also down in June to visit Solebay Troop for a similar demonstration.

A great and slightly less formal night, thanks to all the team who came down. More photos are on the 3rdCB Facebook Group for members and their families.
