As many of you will by now know, our Group Scout Leader Carol is retiring soon after almost 14 years at the helm of 3rdCB. The search is now on to find a suitable replacement as the Group’s head leader.
The Scout Association is the UK’s largest mixed youth organisation with more than 400,000 members in the UK and more across the world. Our innovative spirit and ability to make things happen plays a vital role in the development of young people everywhere and this post in particular will give you the chance to make a big impact on the lives of young people.
To be an effective Group Scout Leader, you will need to possess a flexible, honest and reliable attitude and must be able to cope in a calm and efficient manner with all matters within your role responsibilities. You will also work effectively as part of a team (both within the Group and as part of the District community) and will be an effective manager with excellent interpersonal skills. Fuller details of the Group Scout Leader role (which is voluntary), can be found at https://members.scouts.org.uk/documents/supportandresources/Roles/FS330063v3.pdf
Expressions of interest in the position accompanied by your Scouting curriculum vitae are requested via e-mail only to the Group Chairman, Colin Fraser, at firstname.lastname@example.org by 10th July, 2014.
