The GUZZLERS are visiting Churchill War Rooms, as a gaggle, on Thursday 1st March.

There are concession rates for O/60, take ID just to be sure, also parties of over 10 also get additional concessions. (Seniors £13.20 – it has just gone up!)

You might find that at your local South Eastern rail station there is a leaflet entitled London Attractions which gives another range of concessions, pick it up then we can use the two for one offer.

The building at Clive Steps, King Charles Street, is a short walk from Westminster Underground Station and 10 minutes from Charing Cross. Those travelling on the Fenchurch Street Line will have a walk to Tower Hill Station to pick up Circle or District Line.

To allow cheap day rail returns to be purchased I suggest that we meet, at 1130. Tour time is estimated at 90 minutes to 2 hours.

The aim is to get a beer & a meal after the visit at a local hostelry.

Hope that some of you will want to make it!

No need to tell me if you are coming – just turn up!

Welcome to the home page for 3rd Chalkwell Bay Sea Scout Group. Founded in 1931, 3rd Chalkwell Bay operates from a purpose built headquarters in the Old Town of Leigh on Sea in Essex, where we run a huge array activities and training for boys and girls ages 6 to 18 and beyond, and are recognised by the Royal Navy as one of the top 100 Sea Scout Groups in the country.

Being a Sea Scout Group a lot of our activities are based on the water and we have a great number of boats including Wanderers, Topazs, a Laser Stratos and a collection of safety and rowing boats to name a few, and we are an RYA Recognised Training Centre, giving formal sailing & power boating training to national standards most weekends. We also offer an array of land based activities and Scouting skills such as hiking, climbing, camping, and visits away.

The Group has four main sections, Beavers for 6-8 year olds, Cubs 8–10 years olds, Sea Scouts for boys aged 10 – 14 and Sea Rangers for girls aged 10-20. Ganges Explorer Scout Unit for 14-18 year olds also meets at The Den and has close ties with 3rdCB. All sections are led by a dedicated and experienced team of volunteers and qualified instructors. There is also an old boys (and girls) association called the Leigh Creek Guzzlers, which is open to anyone who has ever been associated with the Group.
