Renewal of Promise

28 April 2019 @ 10:25 – 12:45
St John’s Church, Southend
Meet outside the Naval & Military Club in Royal Terrace
Section Leaders

This year 3rd Chalkwell Bay are attending the St George’s Day Parade & Service in Southend hosted by the Southend Branch of the Royal Society of St George.

The event is being held on Sunday 28 April 2018 and is primarily run as a celebration of St Georges Day but we have been invited to participate and all members will renew their promise during the Service. The Service will take place at St John’s Church (next to the Royals). This is a formal event and The Mayor, Members of Parliament, and other dignitaries will be in attendance. So it is important that everyone is smartly turned out.
We are meeting outside the Naval & Military Club in Royal Terrace at 1025 where the parade will form up ready to march to St. John’s Church. The service will commence at 1130. Following the service we will march back to Royal Terrace, The Mayor will take the salute at the junction of Royal Terrace and the High Street. We hope to finish by 1245.

Renewing the Scout Promise is an important event for every member of 3rd Chalkwell Bay and I would ask that if your child cannot attend that an explanation is provided to their Section Leader.
