On Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th December 2018, it has been kindly agreed for Group members to take part in a fundraising event at Morrisons, London Road, Hadleigh. The idea is for members to be at the checkouts offering to pack customers shopping for a small donation to the group.
It is anticipated to run the event between 10 and 4 on Saturday and between 11 and 3 on Sunday. This is entirely dependant on how many members attend. The more of you that attend, the shorter the period each of you will have to spend packing and the longer we can be there collecting. With over 170 members; Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers (not including Leaders) it should not be hard for each member to attend for an hour or two so that we can have two members per checkout.
Members will be required to attend in uniform (minus caps). As long as we get enough volunteers the time slots will be kept to a minimum and there will be no food/drink supplied by the Group or Morrisons. It will be expected for members to be dropped off and collected from the Venue. There will be at least two leaders from various sections present throughout to supervise the members and to ensure that no inconvenience is caused to Morrisons or their customers.
