The Group will be taking part in a series of fundraising events at Morrison’s in Hadleigh, assisting shoppers in packing their shopping bags for a small donation to the Group.
The dates are:
- Saturday 16 September 10.00 – 16.00
- Sunday 17 September 11.00 – 15.00
- Saturday 9 December 10.00 – 16.00
- Sunday 10 December 11.00 – 15.00
- Please note the planned days on 7-8 October have been cancelled
In previous years we have raised several thousand pounds doing this; a significant amount of money that helps sustain our activities and equipment, and keeping subs at a reasonable level.
We will be there between 10 and 4 on Saturday, and 11 and 3 on Sunday. With around 170 Cubs, Scouts and Explorers (not including the Leaders) we hope that everyone can attend for an hour or two so that we can have two people on each checkout.
Please come in uniform. The more people that come to help the more money we can raise for activities and equipment.
Please note there will be no food/drink supplied by the Group or Morrisons, and you will need to dropped off and collected from the store. There will be at least two leaders from various sections present throughout to supervise and to ensure that no inconvenience is caused to Morrison’s or their customers.
If you have any friends or family in the area that need some shopping please get them to pop in and see us.
